Prof. Shobha Shukla
Dr. Shobha Shukla is Professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. She obtained her doctoral degree at the State University of New York/SUNY Buffalo, USA. Subsequently she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Her research interests are in the field of nanophotonics devices, water related technologies, metamaterials, and plasmonic devices. Prof. Shobha Shukla has published her research in several international journals and presented her research on international forums which has garnered many awards and accolades. She is editorial board member of Scientific Reports by Nature Publishing group, Nanotechnology by IoP publishing, Journal of Physics-Photonics and Frontiers in Materials. Prof Shukla is a senior member of OPTICA (formerly OSA) and advisory Board Member of Materials Open Research by Taylor and Francis publishing. Professor Shukla is currently heading the water innovation center (WICTRE) at IIT Bombay.
